INSIDE MY BAG

I always wondering why my bag are so heavy. So today i check it, and here what i found:

- Key
- Victorinox knife
- School books, pencil and eraser
- Ipod
- Mineral water
- Wallet
- Swiss ID, abonemen ticket, train schedule
- Sun glasses
- Lunch box (the green one)
- Apple
- Mobile phone

Those are my 'daily tools' which are very usefull. For example the lunch box, it contains salad and bread. To buy small box of salad from Migros, it cost Fr 5. But if i make my own salad, it cost Fr 1/day. So thats the lunch box are for.

The swiss ID, i have to bring it always, instead of pasport. The idea is so the police know that im not illegal immigrant. The Ipod is also usefull. Very often Adu and i got dinner invitation from his friends, which mean dinner+deutch conversation the whole nite. The Ipod save me from being boring and sleepy :)

The apple is to eat, just in case im still hungry after salad and bread. The phone is to call Adu if i get lost. The sun glasses is to make me looks more cute:). As all stuffs in my bag are usefull, so no matter how heavy they are, i'll always bring them. I even think of bringing laptop, so i can online and blogging anytime, anywhere :)

MY 1ST BIKE

After been waiting for 20 years, finnaly i got my 1st bike. *Flashback:* when i was a kid, most of my friends riding a bike to school. I was so sad to think maybe im the only student who walked to school *sniff sniff*.

Once Mom promised to buy one if only i got good mark on the final exam, but until i graduate from the university, the bike never come. The years gone by, the desire to have bike slowly dissapears untill i move here.

Everyday we (old man and i) have to walked 15mins down the hills and another 30mins to the trainstation. In the begining it was ok, we agree walking are good for the health, but latter on we get tired. As Adu have to be at the office at 08.00 and i have to catch the train at 08.06, we decided to organise bikes for transportation.

After looking arround at some bike shop, which most of them sell very expensive bike, finnaly i find one. Its green, old (i think its even older than me), the bell is broken .. but its free! Its a present from Tizian (old man best friend). Actually its belong to his mother, but she never use it since 2003 as she has the new one.

Today we're cleaned, fixed and change some part of it, and now 'she' looks like georgeus 'old lady'. Basicly i dont need pretty bike, because the idea is just to ride to the trainstation in the morning, leave it there and ride it back home in the evening.

So Thx God, finnaly u let me to have a bike. Thx to Tizian and his mom for the present. Thx to old man for the hard work to 'make over' the 'old lady'. Thx to everybody that cant be mention (halah!) .. just thx.

BE MY WANNA BE ...

I was reading an article about the 20th century kinder wanna be. Im surprised to know those little ‘creatures’ proudly mention that they wanna be doctor, president, pilot, astronaut, this and that. Its always same from time to time, I duno why this ‘MTV generation’ don’t wanna be scientist, site manager, water and sanitation expert or conflict mediator :)

When I was a cute little girl, a boy who sit next to me (I forgot the name, it was on the 1st or 2nd year of the elementary school) said that he wanna be (and will be) a president of Indonesia. I was laughing and tell him to stop dreaming. ‘’President my a**, u will never be a president, u don’t even have a president look!''

He looks so upset and almost cries. But then he asking about my ‘wanna be’. ARCHITECT, answer me. He laughing and telling me to stop dreaming. I will never ever reach it as I don’t have an architect look. I punched him off and that was the last time I ever talk with him.

I grown up with this dream, never think of another ‘wanna be’. Years gone by, after struggling as waitress, radio host, freelance writer, copy-paste editor and end up in a tsunami area, I realise that he was rite, I never able to make my dream comes true.

Well, its happen not only to me, I guess most of u are doing job that wasn’t ur wanna be. But the good thing is my 1st boy friend was studying architect, so at least im not too far from the architect world. And even now my old man is starting his own architect biro .. cool huh! So even though I cant be an architect, im quite happy to be an architect girl friend :).

BACK TO SCHOOL !

First let me tell u, it has nothing to do with scholarship. But yeah since Monday (23/04) I have new status: student of Deutch Intensive class of Bennedict School, cool huh? I have class from Mon-Fri: 09.00-13.00. The class is so fun with a Romanian, an Aussie, a Singapore, a Serbian and a Libyan.

The Romanian is such as spoiled and cute little girl, the Aussie looks like tough woman, the Singapore is kind a smart woman, the Serbian boy speak little bit English, the Libyan (the youngest, 16) speak no English. It always funny in the morning, four of these girl (including me) try to speak with this two guy, but we never get far as they don’t really get what we talking about (especially the Libyan, he speaks only Arabic’s).

The only way is speaking German, which is not really good idea as all of us don’t speak this language. So yeah I try my best to make mix sentence: half English, half German but mostly are wrong. Here is the example:

Me: So Meda (his name), wie (how) bist du (did u) gehen (go) to die schule (school)?
Meda : bla bla bla bla (Arabic’s, I don’t understand). Aber (but) Ich (I) spielen (play) tennis!
Whuaahahaha, now u can see that we’re not well connected!

The great things is the teacher don’t use any single English words in the class, she explain everything in German, so all of us just staring at her with big eyes, empty brain, no idea about what she’s talking about. In the beginning I was thinking that it won’t work out, in fact on day 3rd we’re able to make small sentence for daily conversation, not only wrote it down or read it but also to remember!

Not many things I can tell for now (im sleepy), but I still have another 11 weeks and 2 days, im sure it will be so damn fun.

REUNION

Last wednesday i got invitation from Gaylord, a friend who was working also in Meulaboh to visit him in Toulouse, France. As I cant go out from the country, we decided to invited him to Switzerland, and he is agree to come on the week end. Its too sudden, but he has no more time as he will start the next mission in Afghanistan within 2 weeks.

So Friday evening, we pick him up in the airport and showed Zurich, the best city in the world (according Adu and Wun). Its very touching moment as we never expect to see each other again after Meulaboh. After, we stop by in Outback, an Aussie resta to have ‘wild’ dinner (Gaylord: Emu, Adu: Kangaroo, Me: just chicken wings hehehehe) and after, we had international domino match: French vs Switzerland vs Indo which end up with: -27 (Gaylord), 29 (Adu) and 24 (Me) .. ooo poor Gaylord, travel so far from France to Switzerland only to be a loser!

Wun had a night ship, so she cant joint our reunion night. Also, the next day, she had to work till evening while we decided to walked around the city (again) and rent a small paddle boat to go around the lake. We meet Wun later on for dinner in very ‘Swiss’ resta and after very big dinner, we walking around (again) and stop by in Helvetia Bar and then short visit to Sugar Daddy Bar. The reunion closed at 5am and everybody went to bed.

Sunday afternoon, after ice cream on the town, photo session at the train and small farewell at the bye-bye café, we drop Gaylord to the airport. Thx for coming my friend, we gonna miss u but i have a good feeling that everything gonna be alright and we will catch up again after u finished in Afghanistan. Take care .. all the best!

PS: stay away from the F.UN girls ..

33+1=34, 33+1= OLD ..

3 days ago (16/04) was the old man b'day. Big lunch with the whole family (including me) was held in the garden to celebrate his 34th. I duno whats the meaning of 34 for him, but for me its like he should be wiser, nicer, braver, tougher and a better kisser *hihihihi*

Bit sad as i cant give any present. Last year i was still employed, so i can give 'dog' for his sleeping mate, but this year im a jobless so cant buy anything. I was thinking to give my heart, but then i realize that it wasn't a good idea .. what the hell he should do with two hearts, and how can i live without heart *confuse*.

But no wories 'meine schatzli', even if i had nothing to give this year (or maybe the next year also) but i always have lot of love for u, with lot of different colour, different flavour, different size and offcourse with different price also *whuehehehe*

Anyway, no matter what i've wrote there, i just wanna say:

^^Happy B'day .. May God give u strenght to faced all the difficulties. May God give u more happiness, so u can always smile for me, for the people arround u. May God lead u through a nice path for a better life. May God always blessing u, in every breath u take, in every move u make .. All the best^^

PS: writen with full of love (also full of shit *kikikikik*)

BAD NEWS, GOOD NEWS

12 days ago, i had small accident during the ski. My head is still round, my hands is still there, but still i called it bad news as i (or my insurance) have to pay a lot for that: x-ray, MRI, orthopedic, phisioteraphy and soon the operation.

But the sun will always comes up after the storm .. after the bad news, its time for the good one. Today the swiss authority called to inform that they're approved my visa extention for another 3 months, so it means i could stay till Sept .. haleluyah, thx God!

So from now on i'll stop cursing and blammed my beloved one when bad things happen to me, cos the experience showed (but not always) that if u want good news, be ready for the bad news first!

THE ACTIVITIES

Pheww .. im back! After a 'labu’ (lazy and bussy) weeks, finnaly I can blogged another 'swiss story'write something. I cant tell one by one what I’ve done in the last 35 days, but I’ll try to make the summary ..

- Dinner, dinner and dinner
The first week, we always running around from one to another place only for dinner. The old man is so famous and popular so every few days we got dinner invitation by his friends. Everything was good: the food is good, the flat is good, the people is good .. the only problem is, they talking ‘the deutch’ the whole nite so I became so lonely :).

- Ski

After 4 times skiing, I realize two things: im a bad skier (because Im not good in ski) and im a bad faller (read tour de hospital). But I like this sport .. its fun and .. cold!

- Week end on the ‘hut’
Adu took me to their ‘hut’, small cottage on the top of the hill to show how lovely the place is: sleep on the floor, no heating so need to make a fire, no electricity so need candle, no water so no shower, no noise from the modern life just the sound of wind .. just like living in the cowboy ages, its cool but cold also hehehe.

- Badminton, swimming, walking and jogging
Wasn’t new thing as we did it also in meulaboh .. BUT .. we’re in Switzerland! For 1h game in indoor court, we pay FR30/ IDR270.000. To go swimming is little bit cheaper: FR9/ IDR72.000 per each. I like walking and jogging cos its free, but I don’t like the treck: up and down the hill :(.

- Tour de Hospital
On the second ski holiday i got small accident, i felt on the icy snow. I went to hospital and the doctor send me to the Radiology for X-ray examination. Then she send me to see an orthopedic, who later on send me to have 'MRI' before coming again next week. I still dont know what was going on, but the indication is the ligament for the left knee had been torn. For me its not sound serious, but still i cant walk properly:(

And yeah I do lot of other thing, but as I tell u in the beginning: I cant tell one by one because of the limited space and also im getting old, so I cant remember all hihihi. So .. I think this is it, gonna back to my lazy day .. ZZZZ zzzz ZZZZ zzz ..
